MT5 server hosting: topology, monitoring and change control.
Hosting is an operations design problem. Specify topology, observability and change management, and demand evidence for each.

Topology
Identify server roles (trading, history, bridge, plugins, web), their regions and links to liquidity. Measure round-trip latency between your key endpoints rather than relying on quoted figures.
Observability
List metrics and logs collected, alert thresholds, on-call routes and response targets. Rehearse an incident and keep the written summary as a template.

Change and recovery
Backups are only real when restores are tested. Define patch windows, staging, rollback and approvals. Align with the needs of liquidity bridge connectivity.
Capacity and cost modelling
Model capacity against client growth, plugin load and peak events. Estimate cost at each step and define triggers for scaling. Reviewing the model quarterly keeps hosting decisions tied to measured demand.
Runbook entries
Restart procedure, failover steps, restore steps, certificate renewal, plugin deployment and contact tree. Keep runbooks in a shared repository and test them during drills. A runbook that has never been used is a hypothesis.
Questions we hear
Should servers be dedicated?
Decide from load, plugins and risk tolerance, using measurements.
Who has root access?
Define roles, audit access and review regularly.
